New concepts in different therapies

what is ayurveda

Ayurveda is the traditional Indian medical approach to well-being and illness and has a completely different way of viewing health, to the west. The approach includes practices familiar to westerner such as yoga.
Ayurveda also includes looking at lifestyle and diet in a particular way, the use of herbs and most interesting to you as a massage practitioner, the very special therapies for detoxification of the human body.

Ayurveda considers carefully, a persons constitution how they are, who they are. People seem to fit into three general categories, Vata, Kapha and Pitta and depending on the constitution, therapies and approaches are decided to attain a healthy and happy life. Ayurveda believes that pains and aches are caused by obstruction of the flow of vayu (wind) and accumulation of toxins due to irregular food and lifestyle. Regular ayurvedic massage relaxes the muscles, increases appetite and generally makes life more joyful- thus ayurvedic massage works on body mind and spirit.

How do I know if I’m allergic?

An allergic reaction is the response of the immune system when the body encounters something that it doesn’t recognise or can’t cope with. There are several stages of allergic reaction with the most severe – the Type 1 – being life-threatening.

Many people however suffer from lower-grade but constant reactions that might give rise to a number of symptoms, eg:
- asthma, hay fever, rhinitis, sinusitis
- bloating, excess wind, IBS, cramping, diarrhoea
- poor concentration, hyperactivity, depression, insomnia
- weight issues, headaches, migraine, joint pain
- eczema, rashes, breakouts

If you suffer from any of these then it might be worthwhile having an allergy test. You can request this from your GP and may get a referral to a specialist who might conduct either a scratch or a blood test. You can also try kinesiology, which uses a muscle-test technique with no blood or needles.

What is TFT's succes rate?

The success rate of TFT depends on the experience and competence of the practitioner. However, even an Algorithm practitioner who uses pre-defined sets of tapping sequences (algorithms) to treat problems can obtain an 80% success rate.

The next level of competency is that of the diagnostic practitioner who uses techniques derived from AK to devise made-to-measure tapping sequences which are effective with 94% of clients. A diagnostic practitioner may also check you for various

toxins
which are affecting your health and /or preventing TFT from working properly.

The highest level of competency is that of the voice Technology (VT) practitioner. By analysing your voice using special technology the VT practitioner can devise a tapping sequence which is effective with 97% of the population.

How was TFT discovered?

Istock_000005105610small TFT was discovered in 1980 by Dr Roger Callahan phd, one of America's most experienced and distinguished Clinical psychologist. Dr Callahan was dissatisfied with conventional therapy techniques which he found to be time consuming and largely ineffective. He became interested in an alternative therapy called applied kinesiology (AK) which addresses the body's energy meridian system and realised that some of its techniques could have an application in the rapid and efficient diagnosis and treatment of negative emotions.

The first patient treated with what we now know as TFT was a middle-aged lady called Mary, who had a severe phobia of water.

Past life

If you have seen life on Mars and intended to watch the sequel to it called ashes to ashes. You may be wondering is it possible to go back in time to visit the past?

Hypnotherapist Douglas Craddock says yes it is possible to visit the past either in this life time or even past lives. Through a process of regression either age regression (this life time) or past life regression. Through carefully guided relaxation and visualisation you can visit past lives to understand the root of all problems. The meaning and purpose of their lives and it is not necessary to believe in reincarnation to experience a past life just a willingness to try.

Phytobiophysics

Phytobiophysics_

Phytobiophysics is a science that follows the principles of vibrational medicine, Chinese acupuncture, the Chakra system, colour and the philosophy of emotional trauma.

Using the vibration of plants for healing is not a new scientific approach. In fact it is timelessly old. For centuries it has been well understood that plants have an extremely important role in our lives. Not only do we live and survive by eating plants but also we use them to restore our bodies to health.

It should come as no surprise that the energetic aspect of plants plays a vital role in ensuring healing on a profound and subtle level. This philosophy is an understanding of the inter-relationship between our souls and our being and the physical manifestations which often appear as symptoms of illness. People, when hurt on a very deep level, fall degenerately ill.
